My Dad is Rich by Draco and the Malfoys
My Dad is Rich is by Draco and the Malfoys. It is based on the characters of Harry Potter. It talks about how Harry Potters father is dead. It is meant to be a commical song. Draco and the Malfoys band members names are Bradley and Brian. Bradley contributes vocals, drums and guitar. Brian contributes vocals, guitar and bass.
The song is funny. It doesn’t have great sound recording. It’s lyrics are meant to be commical and they are. The background music is simple but it works with the lyrics. When viewed on YouTube.com in a live performance its obvious that they have stage presence.
This song is worth listening to; it gives a good laugh and allows Harry Potter fans to take the characters and make them into real life people for a minute or two.

Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones Magazine features multiple articles, most of which contain content based on music. There are many different advertisements and many eye catching photos. Much of the information included things that all American citizens can relate to, such as President Obama’s inauguration.
I found that the magazine was eye catching, that there was much to read about and to consider within its articles and its own reviews. Its audience seems to be focused more for the older American citizens. Some content also relates to a young adult audience, such as the music and movies involved, for example: The Dark Knight.
This is a quality magazine that should be commended for its content and interesting reviews and articles. This magazine is worth your dollar.
David Li
David Li is a Chinese instrumentalist who plays a two-string and a bow. All of the songs were translated in from Chinese to English for a wider audience to understand. The volume we heard pieces of was Volume 4. The songs had no lyrics, they were instrumental.
The music was well played and had good dynamic contrast. They had interesting harmonies and were very well played. It seemed like the artist cared about what they were playing. The CD cover was well put together and the artist took the time to think about wider audiences and made it easier for American’s to understand by translation as well as explanation of what certain words meant. Such as: Erhu which is a Chinese Fiddle.
This CD was worth listening to. It was interesting as well as calming and it seemed to clear the mind. The CD can be bought online.
I-Dog
The IDog is a cute idea, it dances and the lights on its face flash to the beat of the music, when plugged into an IPod. When researched it was found to be as much as $42.99. The music sounded radio like. When it is turned on it barks and when it turns off it barks. According to a customer when played for a long period of time it barks while the music is playing.
Its performances were disappointing, we played many different genre of music, such as “screamo” and “gospel” and the dog hardly responded to either. Though its lights flashed consistently it did not dance nearly as much as expected. When it did “dance” it moved it tilted its head back and forth. As for it barking while the music is playing, it intervenes with the listeners ability to enjoy the actual music, and is distracting.
Overall the IDog was unsatisfying. It was thought to be much more then it actually was which left the customers feeling the need for more. The IDog is definitely not worth the money, if it actually moved and did what it was advertised to do then it would be a success, but it didn’t.

Shattered Glass Essay
Credibility can be defined as the ability to be trusted or have confidence in. Trust is something that is treasured in any relationship. When trust is broken it hurts many people. In the film “Shattered Glass” the main character Stephen Glass portrayed himself as a trustworthy man. He sat in board meetings and told stories upon stories that nobody seemed to have heard before, later to be discovered he imagined more than 20 of his articles. Glass hurt many people in the process of finding out his faults. He hurt his co-workers, his fans and readers, as well as himself.
His co-workers trusted him, they felt that the old editor was admirable and when the new editor took over they were all very upset. The only one willing to apologize for his actions was Glass, “I’m really sorry about yesterday I didn’t know how to react”, he said. This was thought to be a noble move, but the audience later finds out that this was a part of his act. Throughout the film the audience views the co-workers talking about the new editor, in trust the co-workers believed that they were speaking with a truthful man. When Glass was found to be a liar his co-workers were in denial. They believed that his stories were legitimate and found that he couldn’t be trusted at all. Glass’s lies hurt his co-workers.
In the beginning of the film the audience views Glass guest speaking to an assumed high school class. A female student before he had the opportunity to say what article he was telling a story about wrote the name of it on her notes, and smile when he mentioned it moments later. His fans were captured by his stories. They were amusing and interesting and they grabbed a reader like many other journalist couldn’t it seemed. When Glass was found to be a fake we can only assume his fans and readers were upset. They trusted in his literature and found that they had been betrayed and lied to. We can assume that the readers were hurt to find that their favorite journalist was a fraud.
Glass hurt himself as well. He hurt his credibility which means that he forever will be “googled” as “the one who isn’t credible”. In this day and time to lose the trust of a major company you lose the trust of many others. The likelihood of Glass being hired for another paper is very little. Glass hurt his career, the relationships in his family, and the relationships he had with his friends. This incredibility and distrust may last a life time for Glass.
In conclusion, for Glass lying about his articles was not the best choice he could have made. The audience learned that credibility is very important and that lying just isn’t worth the time and effort. The moral of the story is to find the truth in stories, research what you read before you believe it, and understand that there is always a chance that you have come in contact with a master mind liar.

Robert Greene, an English teacher at Nashua High School South (NHSS) of two years, asked his students to prove that he is is who he is.
“How will we do that?” asked high school senior Amy Cote.
“You may use all of the resources you like, use anything in the room and if you have good reason I’ll even let you leave the room,” Greene replied.
‘Robert Greene’ is a very common name the class said, though he was not impossible to find. Other administrators in the school were willing to prove him credible.
“I’ve known him for about a year and a half,” said the upper C secretary at NHSS, “he’s always been truthful; even if there’s something I don’t want to hear.” The secretary also said that every individual working with children must have a background check before they are hired.
Senior, Sarah Swidler found Greene to have been part of a human resources program in 2003, “there’s even a picture” she said. In order for Greene to fake his identity he would have to have the real Greene’s social security number to do his taxes as well as banking and other government programs. The idea of helping people as well as stealing an identity is contradictory.
Greene is 37 years old, is engaged to a woman and teaches multiple classes at NHSS including: writing short fiction, journalism, and poetry. Greene has been a part of multiple programs within the school such as a relief trip to help those affected by a hurricane.
